Alison Mata (she/her)
Executive Director
Alison Mata founded and led operations at Women's March Oakland before starting MobilizeHer. Previously, she managed the program portfolio at Women's Centers International and graduated from Saint Mary's College of California with a BA in international area studies and a minor in women's studies. She currently oversees commercial property and construction management projects in San Francisco for Level Management.
Alisha Woo (she/her)
Advisory Council
Alisha Woo has 15 years of experience leading marketing initiatives and operations for nonprofits and companies based in the US, Europe and Asia. Before founding MobilizeHer, she was Director of Marketing at Women's March Oakland and Operations Manager at Meteor Development Group. Prior to that, she opened the first North American office for WordAppeal, a digital agency in Paris. She serves on the board of Tomorrow Youth Repertory in Alameda, and holds an MA in literary studies from UW Madison and a BA in English from UC Berkeley.
Delia Coleman (she/her)
Advisory Council
Delia Coleman serves as Deputy Director of Equal Rights Advocates in San Francisco, leading the strategic communications team to tell the stories that advance gender justice. She has served the nonprofit sector for over 14 years as an advocate, lobbyist and strategic communications professional. A skilled policy advocate, speechwriter and policy communicator, Delia strives to make ERA’s vision of gender justice accessible and actionable. Before coming to ERA, she was Vice President of Strategy and Policy at Forefront, a statewide association for foundations and nonprofits in Illinois. For 3 years, she led the state’s first statewide giving day campaign, #ILGive for Giving Tuesday, which raised $11 million in 2016. Before her career with nonprofits, Delia was an ex-academic working in private industry for such firms as Deloitte Consulting, Starpoint Solutions and Gagen MacDonald. She has been Board Co-Chair of the Chicago Abortion Fund and board member of several charitable nonprofits with missions affecting women and communities of color. Delia is an alumna of UCLA (BA) and has a master’s in 19th-century British and American literature.
LaNiece Jones (she/her)
Advisory Council
LaNiece Jones is Executive Director of Peralta Colleges Foundation, raising student scholarship funds for Laney College, Merritt College, College of Alameda, and Berkeley City College. In 1991, she founded lajones&associates, a marketing, PR and events firm specializing in organizational strategy, electoral campaigns and community organizing. Since 1995, LaNiece has served as BWOPA/TILE's statewide Executive Director and President of the Oakland/Berkeley chapter. She is an appointed member of the KQED Community Advisory Panel and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Xi Gamma Omega Chapter (Oakland). LaNiece serves as a presiding co-chair of Congresswoman Barbara Lee's political advisory committee. Appointed by Congresswoman Lee, LaNiece was one of California’s 55 presidential electoral college voters in December 2020. In 2021, Assemblymember Rob Bonta appointed LaNiece to serve as a California delegate representing the 18th Assembly District. An Oakland native, LaNiece attended Oakland public schools. She has a bachelor’s degree from CSU Hayward and a master’s degree from Pepperdine University in social entrepreneurship and change.
Maha Ibrahim (she/her)
Advisory Council
A proud product of California's public university system, Maha Ibrahim graduated from Riverside Community College, UC Berkeley (BA), and UCLA (JD). Before becoming a lawyer, Maha worked for 8 years as a community and policy staffer for Congresswoman Barbara Lee and then-Assemblymember Nancy Skinner, respectively. Maha's legal practice focuses on Title IX litigation and policy work; strategic community partnerships with students, student advocates and institutions; and crafting and administering programmatic change at K-12 and higher education institutions. Maha was a main attorney drafter of SB 493 (Senator Hannah Beth Jackson, D-Santa Barbara), California’s new state-level Title IX corollary law. Additionally, Maha practices in Title VII and pregnancy discrimination laws. In addition to enthusiastically supporting the groundbreaking work of MobilizeHer, Maha serves as the chair of the East Bay Women's Political Alliance and on the advisory committee of EveryVoice. Maha is a past commissioner on the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women and the past Northern California Vice Chair of the Middle Eastern-American Caucus of the California Democratic Party. Maha is employed as an attorney at the national gender civil rights nonprofit legal firm, Equal Rights Advocates.
Sophia Andary (she/her)
Advisory Council
Sophia Andary is a first-generation Lebanese-American commissioner, activist, organizer and analyst. Her experience living through the civil war in Lebanon shaped her worldview and passion for bridging the divide among diverse perspectives. Sophia is a co-founder and former co-chair of Women’s March San Francisco, one of the country’s strongest and most diverse chapters. In 2019, Sophia was appointed by Mayor London Breed to the Commission on the Status of Women of the City and County of San Francisco. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Alliance For Girls, the Board of Advisors of GENup, and the Boards of the Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club and the SF SWANA Democratic Club. She graduated from the University of La Verne (CA) and University of Strasbourg (France) with a BS in international business.
Tara Ayres (she/her)
Advisory Council
Tara Ayres is a feminist cultural activist who has spent the last 40+ years producing women’s and lesbian concerts, theater and other cultural events, first in Kansas City, then in Connecticut and Wisconsin, and now in the San Francisco Bay Area. After years of producing women’s concerts and dances in Madison, WI, she served for 9 years as the Artistic Director of StageQ, Madison’s LGBT theater troupe. A disability rights activist, Tara recently wrote a guide to using small claims court to enforce California disability rights law. Tara was a core team member of Women's March Oakland, where she coordinated disability access and produced pre- and post-march stages. She is currently serving as President of the Atchison Village Mutual Homes Corporation in Richmond. Tara has a BA in political science from Yale University, and works as a voice actor.
